HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE AT KROGER!!!
Today I went into my local Kroger, and they had their Nature Made Vitamins half price AND BOGO! It was awesome! So I figured by purchasing vitamins that were less than $4, and I could use two $2/1 coupon, and make them FREE! So I went up to the register to purchase 6 vitamins, and the cashier told us that they are not BOGO. I told her that the sign is right there. So, she LEFT HER REGISTER, and she REMOVED THE SIGN!!! She took the BOGO sign down, and hid it!! So, we told the manager, and the manager told us that we could only use 3 coupons a day! WHAT?!?!? NO WHERE in their coupon policy did it say that!! So, we asked for the coupon policy, and after ten minutes of searching around, she found one. I asked her to show me where it said that, and she couldn't find it! This was her response: "This is the customer's coupon policy, not our corporate one." I told her that didn't make sense, and that their wouldn't be two different coupon policy's. She also accused us of lying about the BOGO sale, and photocopying the $2/1 coupons! NO WHERE on the coupon does it state that the coupon cannot be copied! And I didn't even copy them, I printed them in BLACK INK! It was so ridiculous. So I am calling corporate office, and telling them about the manager, and worker, of their unprofessional behavior, and not even knowing their own coupon policy.

Katie - If you went to the Okemos Kroger - I NEVER EVER go there!!! They are horrible. Next time someone accuses you of copying coupons remember to show them the "code" on the coupon is different every time you print one. I was buying Wolf Chili a couple weeks ago. It would have only been 19 cents a can. They told me that I picked out the wrong kind because it didn't ring up sale price so I went back and looked and picked up every variety non rang up sale price?? Cashier "called" manager. No changing the price. What?? It was right in the AD!!! I had a whole cart of meat and other stuff....... after her bitchy tude I left it ALL there. I said no thank you. She said "so take the chili off?" I said NO TAKE IT ALL...... I WILL NO LONGER EVER SHOP HERE!!
ReplyDeleteThe Kroger on MLK is a good one to go too. Kind of a ghetto area but a really nice & clean store. The manager seems nice too.
Sorry about your bad luck.
PS - Unfortunately each Kroger does make up their own policies. But I would still call corporate. :( Which is why I shop MEIJER!!!
It would have been nice if they have a written copy of their policy, though! Yeah, I hate that store. I had trouble with them before! It's funny, because on Friday, the cashier allowed me to do 4 different transactions to buy 10 Colgate's that I got for free, but they wouldn't let me get free vitamins? Lame! haha :) I agree with you! Meijer is wayy better, and their managers are ALWAYS friendly! :)
ReplyDeleteOh wait! I went to the Kroger in South Lansing, so I guess it was a different one. I prefer the one in South Lansing anyways. It's a bit cleaner, surprisingly, and I've never had bad luck with cashiers, and they are always friendly. :) The one on Cedar, and Willoughby.
